Office Hours, Callout and More Updates! Oh my!

Hey! We now officially have office hours! You can see them to the right, there. Also, our callout is coming up! It’s gonna be the 8th of September from 7-8 in Lawson 1106. You should come check it out. We’ll have free pizza! And who doesn’t like free pizza, right?

Also, I’ve made a couple more updates to the website. Most notably, I added a mobile version of our website, which you can get to by scanning the 2D barcode to the right with your Android phone, or by going to purduelug.org. Awesome stuff, no? I’ve also added a google sitemap and some google analytics. If they’re really interesting I’ll keep you up to date. If not, I won’t. That simple.

I’ll do my best to keep this updated throughout the year, but hopefully our President and Treasurer will do some posting as well! Have a good semester, and come check us out!

Spring Elections

It’s that time again where we need to elect a new president and treasurer. If you are at all interested in being a contributor to PLUG, you should really consider attending, either to vote or to be Pres/VP/Tresurer. Right now I’m pretty sure both spots are wide open at this point, so come out and make a difference for PLUG. The elections will be held this Thursday (4/22) at 6pm in LWSN B128. Hope to see you there!

Fall 2009 Callout

Now that school has started once again, PLUG is gearing up for an active semester filled with exciting activities.  If you’d like to be involved in planning out this semester, I will be holding an office hour in the PLUG office (LWSN B128) on Thursdays from 6-7pm. I hope that the office hour can eventually evolve into a regular meeting time if possible.

Our callout will be on Thurs, Sept. 10 at 7pm in BRNG 1230. Free pizza and drinks!

I’m not dead…

Welcome to the brand-spanking-new Purdue Linux Users Group website!  After many months of stagnation, the webmaster finally got tired of being lazy and got around to

  1. Getting an account with CSociety for hosting our site,
  2. Pointing our domain name at the new address, and
  3. Getting WordPress installed.

Now all that remains is to get MediaWiki installed and the old data pulled off our broken old malfunctioning servers.
